ABOUT US
Dr. Mary Moriarty, Executive Director  

Dr. Moriarty has over 20 years of research, evaluation, and project management experience.  Prior to founding Moriarty Research and Evaluation Associates, she served for two years as a Program Director and Co-Coordinator of the Education Directorate Evaluation Group at the National Science Foundation in Arlington, VA. At NSF she managed a multi-million dollar portfolio of STEM proposals and awards and wrote and reviewed scopes of work for large-scale NSF program evaluations. Prior to NSF she was an Assessment Researcher with the Picker Engineering Program at Smith College where she was responsible for research, data management, and the development of  an outcomes assessment plan to guide faculty in meeting the directives of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Her experience includes serving as an external evaluator for a number of projects and serving as project director and principal investigator for multiple grants through the U.S. Department of Education and the National Science Foundation. She received her doctorate in Educational Policy, Research, and Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Dr. Moriarty specializes in the evaluation of programs that serve underrepresented populations, particularly in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
